Writing is thinking so silence is needed to help all writers think and write well. In many cases these are quite good, and to an extent, can and should supplement the course. Literary study will be infused with historical applications for a better understanding of the social and historical context of the readings.

This is not a problem. Most of these activities are short but require real thought.

Indeed, it is a reasonable but demanding curriculum that should drive our courses. The writing workshop is a quiet and productive period. This is not a problem for us. Several mistakes made, fair knowledge of the topic shown.

I label them study guides and make sure that a significant number of questions are found on the unit exam. Since a majority of the students will have at least read the material well enough to complete the study guide, you have a core of students who can participate in a meaningful discussion.

It is just that I think that it is too much for one unit of instruction. Again, textbook publishers are trying to meet this need. The submission page will give an official word count when submitters enter the essay.

Using other pre-reading strategies will increase student comprehension and recollections.

Before we begin reading some Old English poetry, we will look at some of its elements and related terminology. I use grades and detentions. Many textbook publishers provide a correlations guide to individual state standards.

You will have vocabulary quizzes throughout the course and vocabulary words will appear on your unit tests. Do not loan your book to other students. Fragmented sentences and grammar. Lets face facts, most students have little or no idea why they get a particular grade.
